Your Bacon Bucket List

If you are someone who celebrates their love of smoked meats, you may have been to Doc Crow’s downtown on Main Street.  Doc Crow’s is a Southern Smokehouse and Rawbar restaurant which electrifies the plate with various cuts of steak, ribs, pulled pork, smoked turkey and pork chops to name a few.  I personally enjoy restaurants that showcase their culinary skill by not only preparing food in a kitchen completely on display to its diners, but also letting the likes of me sneak into the kitchen to pay homage to a massive tray of brisket.

Beef brisket bellyflop anyone?

The meat at Doc Crow’s is certainly impressive.  But have you yet taken your love of bacon to the next level by indulging in a special dessert called Wilber’s Sundae? Pork paramours need to swing in for this $5 dish that is as unique as it is delicious.

Wilber’s Sundae consists of:

Brown butter praline ice cream with Bourbon caramel ribbon atop cinnamon pork rinds sprinkled with candied bacon topped with a Bourbon cherry.

Never have I had a sundae with both pork rinds and bacon, but the sweet, salty and savory tastes are an amazing dessert combination.  Go cross it off your bacon bucket list!
