Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Especially when it’s for lunch. Or dinner. Or dessert… (new restaurant concept here)?
Which is why I am super duper excited when restaurant I already think rocks decides to flex their culinary muscles by serving brunch, or in this case, a Christmas Eve bruncheon.
Hillbilly Tea is unveiling their new brunch menu and behold the first item on their menu is my former bucket list food, the Scotch Egg! But the hillbilly way is to serve it with a bison sausage coating with braised greens, so I’m guessing it’s practically health food and I can eat a double serving. With your breakfast standards H.T. is also spooning up a sweet potato soup with eggnog crema & candied pecans. If that doesn’t scream “get your holly jolly butt to a luncheon on Christmas Eve” I don’t know what does.
Sadly, (sorry mom), on that day I’ll be in a car on my way back to Delaware. But as soon as I return from the holidays I’m getting my brunch on happily at 120 S. 1st Street Saturdays and Sundays after the big unveil from 8-2p. If you go to the holiday preview please make a reservation and tell me all about it so I can live vicariously through you.
