Ghyslain has new menu items!

Ghyslain, my favorite little East Market café,  has some new menu items they’d like to share which are making me very hungry right now!  If you never been, you need to experience the food.  Ghyslain,  (pronounced gis-slay after the owners first name), is a delicious spot in NuLu filled with chocolates, pastries, great food, and wine.

Am I tempting you with breakfast? Like this simply perfect toasted baguette with real butter, nutella and jam. One of the best restaurants in Louisville!

And I just learned you can request lunch or dinner to go so you can have a fancy boxed picnic! That sounds really wonderful today. Here are the new menu items:

Sandwiches: Roast Pork and Broccoli Rabe ($12): Roast pork shoulder with garlic broccoli rabe, caramelized onions and provolone cheese on a baguette; au jus served on the side

Vegetarian Focaccia ($11): House made focaccia with herb cheese and grilled seasonal vegetables garnished with snow pea sprouts, Peppadew peppers and an olive salad

Soup (6oz/$4.50, 12oz/$7, 24oz/$12)

Cream of Broccoli Soup: Vegetable broth with onions, potatoes, broccoli rabe, herbs and cream

White Chili: Ground turkey, diced chicken breast, onions, bell peppers, garlic, herbs, cumin, chipotle and cilantro; served with cheddar cheese and green onions

Salad Niçoise ($14): Mixed greens with yellowfin tuna, haricots verts, red potatoes, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, cucumbers, black olives, roasted red peppers and red onions

Spinach and Shrimp ($13): Baby spinach with large grilled shrimp, bacon, artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes and shaved red onions

Side Mac and Cheese ($4.50)

Breakfast Chocolate ganache croissant ($3.50)

Chocolate ganache croissant? I need that right now! Happy Sunday. 721 E. Market Street in downtown Louisville.
